Dear fellow Rotarians,
On behalf of the Board, I wish you and your families a blessed Ramadan. May we use this precious time to think about how we can serve each other and humanity more and promote peace and goodwill.
We’ve had two wonderful fellowships in March. One with two great speakers Dr. Omar and Prof Giovanni who inspired us with their stories and a warm and engaging Iftar to celebrate this holy month of togetherness.
We are very proud that our club was chosen to be shortlisted and presented at the ‘Power of Goodness’ video competition out of the 58 other clubs that submitted. I am grateful to all our members who helped in this great effort.

Dr. Omar Al Muthanna – CEO of Community Development Authority spoke about the initiatives by the organization in building effective partnerships with the private and non-profit sectors to develop social services in alignment with the Dubai Government’s goals of attaining sustainable development and a cohesive happy society that enhances national identity and strengthens empowerment and community engagement.
Prof. Giovanni Bozzetti talked about his book ‘Emirates- Nothing is impossible.’ He lauded the nation’s recently revealed standing in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking as the ninth most competitive nation in the world
He said, “The UAE is well on its way to emerging as the new center of world business. Many talk about it, but not everyone knows about what’s gone into creating and sustaining this extraordinary success. The nation has a unique story to tell; for 50 years, it has served as the intersection of people, cultures, ideas, technologies, and trade exchanges.”
A wonderful and warm fellowship took place on 26 April with Iftar and greetings between members on the occasion of Ramadan.
Rtr Farah Rteil informed the members of the Rotaract Ramadan distribution program and Hope Award winner Mr. Ahmad Falasi spoke briefly about the Ramadan meal distribution initiative in Africa.
RCD welcomed its latest member Marco Fedele who was pinned at the event.
