Last month was jampacked with some amazing presentations by our esteemed speakers, Hope Award winner Ahmed Al Falasi and Architect Simone. We are very grateful to their excellencies Ambassador and Consul General of Italy who graced our fellowships.
I am very excited to inform you that our club is now an official partner of Expo2020 and we will join the other Rotary clubs in Dubai in welcoming all Rotarians travelling to Dubai for the Expo in our own lounge. Stay tuned for more information ahead.
I am also pleased to announce the formation of our first Interact Club which has come about due to the hard work of some of our most dedicated Rotarians and Rotaractors.

Ahmed Al Falasi, from the UAE, was crowned the Arab Hope Maker 2020 for his humanitarian work in establishing advanced kidney dialysis centers and incubators in Kenya’s Mombasa city.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, awarded him AED 1 million, crowning Ahmed Al Falasi, from the UAE, as the Arab Hope Maker 2020 for his humanitarian work in establishing advanced kidney dialysis centers and incubators in Kenya’s Mombasa city.
In his talk “Innovation in the industry of Hope and Extend Hope” Mr Al Falasi told the audience of Rotarians about his life and mission which closely aligns with the Rotarian values and causes.
RCD has the pleasure of listening to celebrated architect Simone Micheli in his lecture “THIS IS MY LIFE”
Tuscany-born Micheli founded the Architectural Studio in 1990, and in 2003, together with Roberta Colla, he created the design company Simone Micheli Architectural Hero, based in Florence, Milan, Puntaldìa, Dubai, Rabat, and Busan.
His professional activity ranges from master plans and architecture to interior, from design to visual, through graphics, communication, and event organization. His creations, always sustainable and environmentally conscious, are characterized by a strong identity and uniqueness.
His works have been featured in the most important international exhibitions as well as in Italian and international newspapers, magazines, and periodicals
